The Business Development Specialist is responsible for generating sales and achieving established sales goals for assigned small to mid-sized producing travel agencies. Primary duty will be to contact agents via the phone and identify and convert opportunities for revenue growth. Ability to develop and execute a defined strategic sales plan which will grow opportunity accounts into high producing accounts through share shift within the agency. Prospect low producers to identify new top prospects and initiate sales plans to move market share from competitors. To assist virtually or over the phone in growing revenue from assigned accounts by training agents on ALG brands and products.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one year experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak/write effectively with staff and vendors at all levels and create and deliver presentations.
Analyze, problem solve and trouble shoot issues with emphasis placed on satisfying the customer. Well organized and detail oriented with ability to handle a multitude of tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
